More Award Nominations!

Lucas Testro has recently been working as part of the Merchantwise team, creating the story and writing for the Family Guy characters as part of a new advertising campaign for Jack Link's Beef Jerky.

The campaign, which involves on-pack promotion, radio and print advertising, and a major interactive social media campaign in which various characters from the hit Fox TV series attempt to sell beef jerky for Jack Link's, has just been nominated for a International Licensing Award by the International Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association (LIMA).

Check out below some of the social media elements of the campaign, and a radio ad for a fictional "Quagmire's Tasting Party" that was set up as a Facebook event and had thousands of fans register to attend!

CAPES releases on YouTube!

Following its world premiere at the Austin Film Festival last year, CAPES has just been released on YouTube! The short film has so far received coverage from outlets including Screen Anarchy (formerly Twitch), Cinema Australia, and Ain't It Cool News, with the latter raving that CAPES is "...incredibly entertaining. It's absurd. It's kind of stupid. It's a perfect superhero comedy."

Killeroo killer art preview

Check out this amazing time lapse video of artist Mike Foxall painting a page from the comics short story "Dead Zone" written by Lucas Testro for the upcoming Killeroo anthology Killeroo: Gangwars.

"Dead Zone" is a dirty revenge tale about a motorcycle gang who comes to terrorise a small outback town, only to realise too late that they are the hunted rather than the hunters.

It's one of two stories by Lucas featured in the anthology, which is a collection of stories set in the universe of Killeroo, the cult Australian comic about a giant marsupial anti-hero Rufus, who is the last hope for the defenceless in a Mad Max-style dystopian future.

Killeroo is created by Darren Close.

New website. New showreel.

Welcome to my new website, which takes all the film & TV stuff I previously had over at and puts it under one roof with a lot of the other stuff I get up to, such as corporate work and podcast production.

I hope you find plenty to take your interest and, as always, don't hesitate to get in touch if you have a project or problem we can help with. We're always looking for fun and interesting projects to sink our teeth into.

While we've been rejigging the website, I've also updated my film & TV showreel, so make sure you check that out too.
